Ekosodin residents troop out to receive Obaseki as Gov assures timely completion of road projects
The Edo State Governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Godwin Obaseki, his deputy and running mate, Rt. Hon. Comr. Philip Shaibu and members of the PDP campaign team were on Tuesday received by jubilant residents of Ekosodin Community in Ovia North East Local Government Area of the state, during the governor’s visit to the area to inspect ongoing road projects.
The governor who was conducted round the roads by the construction engineer, Hani Alsaloum, of Nafro Nigeria Limited, assured of timely completion of the projects so that residents will start using the roads.
A resident, Mr. George Akaun, thanked the governor for his developmental strides spread across the state, adding that the people of Ekosodin are fully in support of Obaseki’s reelection bid.
He said: “We are very happy for all the good work you have been doing in the state. The governor is doing well and we are ready to vote for him in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
“You can see the excitement on the faces of the people. Look at how they are running after a man who believes in working for the people.”
Another resident, Mrs. Gladys Osayande, said that the governor is known for infrastructural development, adding that his developmental strides are obvious for everyone to see.
“This ongoing road construction work is enough to vote for him. You can see the quality of this road, from the junction down to this place; the road is constructed with drainage on both sides.
“We are going to ensure his reelection so that he will come and finish all the good work he has started in this area,” she promised.
The engineer in charge of the road assured that the road would be ready and delivered within the next two months.
