The Edo State Government has warned job seekers to disregard a fake recruitment advertisement published on the website, www.o3schools.com, noting that the advert did not emanate from the State’s Civil Service Commission or any other government agency.

In a statement, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication Strategy, Mr Crusoe Osagie, said the operators of the website are not known to government or any of its agencies.

Osagie, who warned job seekers to be wary of the antics of the operators of the website, said: “We want to state unequivocally that the state government is currently not recruiting through the said website. The Civil Service Commission is not recruiting through them either. The information on the website is false and targeted at deceiving unsuspecting members of the public.”

The governor’s aide noted that recruitment adverts in the state are hosted on the EdoJobs website, which is operated by the Edo State Skills Development Agency.

“The last recruitment exercise conducted by the Civil Service Commission was in 2018 when over 500 workers were employed, including the physically challenged. The information on a 2020 recruitment on the website is false, misleading and should be disregarded by all.”
