Embrace democratic wind of change, Oshiomhole tells Anambra voters
Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has called on the people of Anambra State to be part of the democratic wind of change blowing in Edo State.
The Governor made the call at the mass rally of the Action Congress in Onitsha, Anambra State for Dr. Chris Ngige the Action Congress candidate for the gubernatorial election holding on February 6 in the state.
According to him, “the wind of change is blowing; it must blow also in Anambra State. You must shine your eyes to defend your votes”.
While urging the people of Anambra to vote for Ngige, Governor Oshiomhole said the people have the opportunity on Saturday to reward the Action Congress candidate for the good things he did in office during his brief stint as Governor. Said he; “on Saturday, you will have the chance to reward a man who was in office for only a few years and did so much.
“The issue is not about individuals but about capacity.
“The PDP was in power in Anambra State between 1999 and 2003 and pensioners were not paid, but when Ngige came, he paid all of them.
“Teachers were at home for a year, when Ngige came, he paid all their arrears. So on Saturday you have a chance to reward him’’.
Among other AC stalwart at the rally were Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, Chief Segun Osoba, Chief Bisi Akande, Alhaji Lai Mohammed; Senator Ben Obi, Chief tom Ikimi, Pastor Osagie-Ize-Iyamu, Alhaji Rauf Aregbesola, Hon Johnny Oghuma, among others.
