Etsako Central Re-Run Oshiomhole Assures On Free, Fair Elections

With barely a week to the Etsako Central House of Assembly re-run election, the Edo State governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has assured the people that the election will be free and fair, just as construction work on the long abandoned Ekperi-Anegbette road was flagged off by the governor. It was jubilation galore for the Ekperi people who have been living in isolation, as Setraco Nigeria Limited bulldozer and caterpillars swung into action, and the traditional ruler, HRH, Alhaji D.V.E Kanoba, the Egiegba II of Ekperi could not conceal his happiness when he noted that the community has been abandoned by previous government for too long.

The state governor who made a brief stop at the palace of the Egiegba of Ekperi disclosed that the construction of the Ekperi - Anegbette road which will be extended to Udaba is one of the promises made during his electioneering campaign.

According to Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, this is part of a comprehensive programme to develop the rural communities in the state, as well as to discourage rural urban migration.

He also disclosed that the on-going electrification project of Udochi, Ogbago, Okpianada and Ogomere Communities by the state government is expected to be completed by the end of February 2010.
