NYSC TO GET PERMANENT ORIENTATION CAMP IN EDO
Edo state government has approved the construction of a permanent orientation camp for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the state. Governor Adams Oshiomhole disclosed this in Benin City when he granted audience to the new state coordinator of the NYSC, Peter Atilola, at Government House.
While noting that the NYSC is a national institution that should be given every support to fully achieve its objective of national integration, Oshiomhole said government is aware of the infrastructural challenges at the present orientation camp and assured that construction work will commerce soon.
He however said that more fund for the project will be captured in the 2010 budget and promised to sustain the government’s welfare package for corps members deployed to Edo state and the authority of NYSC in the state.
