US Museum to hold exhibition of Benin arts

The world renowned Smithsonian National Museum of African Art, Washington DC has concluded plans to hold a photographic exhibition showcasing the history, arts and culture of Benin Kingdom, spanning over eighty years.

Leader of the delegation Dr. Jonita Bech-Cole said the exhibition will feature the preserved photographs of the first and outstanding photographer of the Benin Royal Court, Chief Solomon Alonge.

300 Edo farmers get fishing inputs

Over 300 artisan fishermen in Edo State who registered and were captured in the Growth Enhancement Support (GES) Scheme of the Agricultural Transformation Agenda of the federal government benefited from the distribution of subsidised fishing inputs.

The inputs with 50 percent subsidy included fishing canoes; bundles of nets with accessories including floats, sinkers and marine rope.
