Stay In Your Local Government, Oshiomhole Tells ACN Chairmanship Candidates

Governor Adams Oshiomhole has directed all the Action Congress of Nigeria Chairmanship candidates in the April 20 local government election to live in their local government areas.

The Governor who gave the directive during a campaign tour to Edo Central, weekend, insists that as representatives of the people they should be prepared to be resident in their local government to enable them know the problems of the people.

“I left Abuja and Kaduna to come to Benin. The local governments must pay attention to markets by finding the money to develop the markets, provide bore holes, ensure there are street lights that are working, ensure the streets are clean and pay attention to the primary schools,” he noted.

At Ubiaja, Esan South East local government area, the governor told the mammoth crowd of Action Congress of Nigeria supporters that the state government has shown that it is possible to do roads, provide water, build good schools and provide transformers.

“But what we have to do are still much, that is why we are presenting Hon Joe Ikpea as the chairman candidate in this local government because he will continue with the good works we are already doing. Our weapon against the Peoples Democratic Party is to work for the people,” the governor added.

Comrade Oshiomhole maintained that the politics of giving salt and rice to the people is over, adding that when the people vote for the Action Congress of Nigeria chairmanship candidates, the schools across the state will be red roof with aluminum windows and modern tiles.

He disclosed that the state government has provided twenty three thousand new chairs and tables for the new schools built in the state.

While at the Okpujie Primary School, Uromi, in Esan North East Local government area, the governor thanked the people for voting for him overwhelmingly and he promised to continue to build more schools and provide those amenities that are problems to the common man.

“I am not a stranger, because as the Adolor of Esan land I know the problems of the people. I must deliver all that I have promised while I was campaigning. But when next you see the Peoples Democratic Party chairmanship candidate who was a former local government chairman for three years ask him to compare the schools the transition committee which was in office for eighteen months built and the one he built.

“They built schools they cannot send their children to while the one’s we built can be compared with any private school in the country,” Comrade Oshiomhole noted and he urged the people to vote for Hon Sam Abulimen Oboh, the Vice Chairman and Councilors because they are far more number of schools yet to be built and other projects to be done in the area.

The governor was also at Irrua where he presented Prince Solomon Eromosele as the Chairmanship candidate and at Ekpoma, Henry Irumundomon was presented to the people as the Chairmanship Candidate.

At the various campaign venue, several members of the Peoples Democratic Party defected to the Action Congress of Nigeria because of the good work the Comrade Governor is doing across the state.
