Don’t despair, pray for Nigeria—Oshiomhole

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has urged Nigerians not to despair and lose faith in the nation despite her challenges, saying with prayers, the country will overcome her trials and achieve her greatness.

In his Easter message, Oshiomhole urged Nigerians to seek the face of God and pray for the return of peace to every part of the country.

EDO Ministry of Transport has embarked on road worthiness and safety test of vehicles belonging to private transport companies in Edo State.

During an unscheduled visit to some of the transport companies in Benin City yesterday, technical experts deployed an electronic gadget to diagnose whether the engine and brake system of the commercial buses were in perfect working condition.

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State said he had to intervene in the disagreement between Civil Society Organisations in the State and the Benin Electricity Distribution Company in the interest of justice, public good and stem a breakdown of law and order.

Oshiomhole leads 12-km keep fit exercise


Governor Adams Oshiomhole yesterday led other participants in a 12-kilometre road walk in Benin City tagged “Walk for Life”, assuring that the exercise will be a monthly exercise.

The governor who flagged off the exercise at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, said the exercise was designed to help improve the health status of participants.

The maiden edition of the road walk covered major roads in the state capital and including Akenzua, Plymouth road, Ring road through Akpakpava to Ramat park and terminated at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium.

Teachers in Public Primary and Secondary Schools in Edo State who failed to submit afor the Assessment exercise organized by the state government may have their names deleted from the state’s payroll, Governor Adams Oshiomhole has said.
