Women Affairs and Social Development

The Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Benin City was created in July 1997 from the Ministry of Information, Social Development, Youth, Sports and Culture, Benin City and the Edo State Chapter of Women Commission, Government House, Benin City. The Ministry is administered by an Honourable Commissioner as Chief Executive and a Permanent Secretary with the assistance of seven (7) Heads of Department and three parastatals.
