• PREAMBLE :

The Ministry of Information and Orientation assumed its present status of a Ministry in 2003 when it was upgraded from a Bureau to the Bureau of Information and Orientation.

In January 2007 two additional departments: Orientation, Publication and Documentation were created in the Ministry to enhance its functions.

The Ministry has six departments each headed by a Director.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry is Mrs. Betty Igbehi

Ministry of Information is charged with the responsibilities for:

	Government Printing Press
	Information dissemination and management
	Publications and Production Services
	Edo Broadcasting Service: The Edo Broadcasting Service is the official broadcast arm of the Edo State Government. It is made up of a radio and television arm. The General Manager of Edo Broadcasting Service is Barrister Tunde Ebozojie.
