STRATEGIC PLANNING
There are a lot of projects to be executed by the Ministry within 2010 to 2020. However, this period have been broken down into three (3) Phases. They are:
Phase I. Covering the period of 2010 to 2012 Phase II. Covering the period of 2012 to 2016 Phase III. Covering the period of 2016 to 2020
Some of the projects that are to be executed within these periods are:
(i) Completion of Oba Akenzua II Cultural Complex (Main Theatre and Royal Hall)
(ii) Setting up of Commercial Recording studio
(iii) Development of Tourism Park(s) in Edo State;
(iv) Construction and Equipping of 10 Bedroom Chalets in Ososo Tourist Centre, Ososo.
(v) Construction and Reactivation of Udo Rest House, Igueben into a Holiday Resort.
(vi) Construction of Sakponba Rest House into a Holiday Resort and Tourist Centre.
(vii) Construction of the Virgin Forest Eco-TouristjResort in Udo (Ovia South-West Local Government Area).
(viii) Organising first Edo State Festival of Arts and Culture (EDOFEST) in November 2010. |
