INVITATION TO TENDER FOR THE MAPPING AND PRODUCTION OF MAPS OF
THE FOLLOWING LISTED MAPS OF EDO STATE
- BACKGROUND
The Government of Edo State of Nigeria intends to carry out the mapping production of up-to-date digital maps of the State in specified scales. All be produced will be in colour showing clearly up-to-date physical features.
- PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This includes the production of the following items listed below:
- Administrative map of Edo State on a scale of 1:400, 000;
- Administrative map of each of the eighteen (18) Local Government Areas of Edo State on a scale of 1:200, 000;
- Maps of Benin City, Ekpoma, Auchi, Uromi, Igarra, Abudu, and Iguobazuwa Government Areas of Edo State on a scale of 1:20, 000;
- Topographical Maps of Benin City and Auchi showing clearly the erosion prone areas, Rivers/Streams, Hills, Roads, Moats, e.t.c to aid in erosion control on a scale of 1: 10, 000
- Vegetation maps of Edo State on a scale of 1: 400, 000
- SCOPE OF WORK:
The total initial production of each of these maps (a-e) will be 10,000 copies and should be in the format used in the production of the 1st Edition of Edo State Map.
(SPECIMEN AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION IN THE OFFICE OF THE SURVEYOR-GENERAL IN THIS MINISTRY).
- PRE-QUALIFICATION REOUIREMENTS
Intending contracting firms must submit all the under-listed verifiable documents:
- Certificate of Incorporation or registration of company with the Corporate Affairs Commission;
- Names and Cv’s of team leaders and professional staff including copies
- certificate & individual experience in handling similar assignments;
- Evidence of technical competence covering the range of service contained
- the scope of work;
- Evidence of Registration as a Contractor in the appropriate category
- State Ministry of Works & Public Utilities;
- Audited accounts for the last 3 years;
- Tax Certificates for the last 3 years (2006, 2007 and 2008);
- Experience track record of the Firms;
- Evidence of similar projects executed over the last 3 years with copies
- letter of award and completion certificates;
- Evidence of financial capability from bank;
- Treasury Receipt of non-refundable fee of N25,000.00
The Tenders should be sealed in an envelope marked “TENDER FOR MAPPING & PRODUCTION OF MAPS IN EDO STATE AND “CONFIDENTIAL” the top left hand corner and addressed to:

6. CLOSING DATE:
The closing date for the receipt of Tenders is Friday July 31st, 2009.
The Ministry of Lands, Survey and Housing is not bound to accept the lowest or any Tender.
