| Although there have been increased activities towards the privatization of the power sector in Nigeria, Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) is still primarily saddled with the responsibility of power generation. Indeed, at the moment, the company generates and distributes power for both industrial and domestic uses. On the medium term, given the cooperative advantage of the availability of gas in Edo State, the State may explore the possibility of augmenting the power generation capacity of the company under a PPP arrangement. This is a huge potential investment widow that may be explored in the State. |
