Hon. Isaiah Osifo, a two-time Chairman of Uhunmode Local Government Area and former Chairman of Edo State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) was born in Uvbe-Isi in Uhunmode Local Government Area, Edo State to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Osifo.

• Attended Fabiyi Akpata Primary School, Benin City.
• Attended Western Boys High school, Benin City.
• Attended University of Nigeria Nsukka where he had Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science.
• Attended University of Benin For his M.Sc. in Public Administration.
• Proceeded to the University of Hull in United Kingdom for a PhD in International Relation in 2003.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• He worked as an Assistant officer in Nitel Plc in 1982-1987
• General Secretary of the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Uhunmode Local Government in 1993.
• Secretary of the defunct People Democratic Movement (PDM), 1994, Edo South Senatorial District
• Edo State Administrative Secretary of the defunct People’s Consensus Party (PCP, 1995.
• In 2004, Hon. Isaiah Osifo assisted Professor Osunbor in his gubernatorial Campaign.

• Distinguished Alumnus of University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).
• Youths, Sports, Federation (YUSFUN) awards for international Football match in Norway and winning the trophy.
• Appointed patron of the Forum of Councilors in Edo State for his contribution to the development of Local Government in Nigeria.
• Nigeria Television Authority Benin Network Centre Award as distinguished Ambassador of peace.

Hon. Isaiah Osifo is happily married to Mrs. Grace Osifo and blessed with children.
