The Ministry consists of:

Edo Line Transport Service Limited (Edo Line)
Edo City Transport Service Limited (ECTS)
Edo Courier Limited

Functions of the ministry includes:

Formulation and management of the transport function in Edo State including transport Unions liaison, Mechanic, Artisans and allied Association liaison.

Design, installation and maintenance of traffic road markings, traffic lights and street lights, traffic road links, pedestrian bridges and crossings, intersection beautification, street furniture provision (bus shelters) etc.

Boarding and auctioning of Government unserviceable plants, vehicles and machinery.

Drivers’ continued Education and training, organization of drivers’ enlightenment programmes

Collation and analysis of traffic related data viz-a-viz vehicular, passengers, pedestrian traffic surveys, freight and parking facilities surveys.

Vehicle inspection test for road worthiness, learners permits, test for driving license.

Vehicle recovery services, accident management, road obstruction removal .

Fire safety, prevention and combat services.

Supervision of the State Government’s transport based parastatals /companies viz Edo Transport Service Ltd (Edo Line), Edo City Transport Ltd (E C T S) and Edo Courier Ltd.
